A Fishy Tale
The Fish and Duck
So back in the day how ‘The Fish and Duck’ got its name it was called initially called ‘The fish & Duck Inn’ (the original sign is still above the doorway)the locals when thinking of what to call their new drinking establishment the decided on this name because they thought they would be going to ‘Fish and ‘Duck in for a pint’ before going back out fishing hence the name was born The Fish and Duck Inn. Later years locals shortened it to Just the ‘Fish and Duck’ as it is now known amongst locals and tourists alike.
